in honor of the wonderful and exciting 100th day of school...i thought i would celebrate by making a list (i like lists) of the things i have learned while teaching :) so here we go
1 ~ something will not go as planned ...each...and...every...single...day... flexiblity and flying by the seat of your pants is key (#10 makes everything better :) )
2 ~ hitting sleep on the alarm clock is addicting...everyday trying to make it 5 minutes longer
3 ~ friends at the workplace are priceless
4 ~ you cant make everybody happy
5 ~ the day a student counts to 5 may just be the best day of the year
6 ~ eating off the floor boosts your immune system...its better than vitamin C
7 ~ the policeman directing traffic will always stop your car...esp when you are running late
8 ~ there are children's songs to go with every significant event in a 5 year old's life...from seasons to blowing your nose!
9 ~ always always take back-up shoes! even the most comfortable shoes will hurt your feet after 5 hours of chasing 5 yr olds
10 ~ kindergarteners will do anything for a skittle :) buy them in bulk
thats enough learning for one night...if your lucky there will be more learning moments to come :)
hehe...i bet i faked you out and you thought you were getting 100 things learned in honor of the 100th day of school...but you were wrong! ...well actually that was my intention...but i got sleepy...and 100 is a REALLY big number...i mean...unless you "skip a few"
